Mona Abboud, Vice President

With a background in cultural anthropology and market research, Mona has over ten years of experience leading and implementing projects across our service areas. She is known for designing multifaceted engagement and mixed-mode research tools that are culturally nuanced, resulting in equity-focused, action-based insights for our client's most challenging projects. Mona leads our research work and stands out in the industry for her expert moderation techniques and ability to present concise, user-friendly research findings in engaging reports and presentations to clients, board members, councils, and commissions. 
Mona's recent local project experience includes serving as the project lead for the San Francisco Biennial City Survey and qualitative research on behalf of the Port of San Francisco's Waterfront Resilience Program and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's Next Generation Freeway Study. Mona also led the award-winning multilingual study for the City of Tacoma's Multifamily Recycling Program.


Mona earned degrees with the highest distinction of honors in Cultural Anthropology, Political Science, and Law and Society. She holds Certificates of Proficiency in Market Research Methodologies and Applications, Qualitative Research, and is a certified moderator. In addition, Mona has an advanced certification in Community-Based Social Marketing (CBSM) and is a certified User Experience (UX) Designer. When Mona is not working, you can find her hosting dinner parties and playing competitive card games with her family.
